"Mummy, I don't know when you will stop this act, we've said it over and over again, that a Sunday afternoon meal isn't one to waste time on, we need a quick one, moreso there's a program we need to attend in less than 2 hours....." Blah blah blah, on and on I went expressing my displeasure with my mom's doing. Well, don't blame me, at least not yet. Here's the situation; It's like a family commitment that we normally do not eat on Sunday mornings before church, I know most of y'all don't too.. So after the service, what's usually on my mind is the fastest meal that can be made, so we can all satisfy our bellies. But my mom chooses this particular day to cook time consuming delicacies all in the name of changing our taste, so it isn't much surprising to find Mummy trying to prepare a swallow to be eaten with the most complex soups there is- on a Sunday afternoon.
